Naming decisions on this site
Of the 50 materials whose GIA, FTC, CIBJO and Gem-A name columns are not identical, 30 differ in the name itself once the disclosure qualifiers in brackets are set aside; the other 20 differ only in that qualifier. A body is listed as agreeing or differing only where a position is on record on this site; the other columns show the entry's own English name, which is not on record here, not a statement by that body. The table below covers those 30, and the divergence index sets the same 30 side by side; the remaining 20 of the 50 differ only in the disclosure qualifier and are shown on the entry pages themselves.
